Senior Ku Klux Klan member arrested in Tel Aviv apartment (FBI '100 Most Wanted' list)

A special Interior Ministry unit nabbed a wanted American fugitive in Tel Aviv on Monday night, and are preparing to deport him back to the US.

Sabine Haddad of the Interior Ministry said immigration officers received a tip from Interpol on the whereabouts of Micky Louis Mayon, 33.

Mayon is wanted by Interpol, and appears on the US '100 Most Wanted' list for a series of violent crimes, including membership of Ku Klux Klan, violence against Jews and setting fire to federal police cars.

Officers from the 'Oz unit,' recently formed to deal with illegal immigration, burst into his apartment in south Tel Aviv late Monday and arrested him. Haddad said Mayon is being held pending deportation within days.

According to the intelligence relayed, he arrived in Israel in 2008, and had been moving from place to place and changing identities so as not to be apprehended.

Membership is considered a part of free speech, which is enshrined in the First Amendment to our Constitution.

The First Amendment has been construed very strictly; i.e., you can say everything but "fire" in a crowded theater or VERY directly incite to VERY serious crime.

You can offend anyone here any time you want and consort with whomever you want. When you start to act out is when you get into trouble.

I've had several roommates from other countries, and have come to the conclusion that the U.S. is quite different from the rest of the world on this.
