Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor fractured her ankle in a stumble at an airport Monday morning. The judge was en route to Capitol Hill for further meetings with senators.

The White House says Sotomayor fractured her right ankle Monday morning at New York's LaGuardia Airport before boarding a shuttle to Washington for an afternoon of meetings with senators.

She'll keep her six appointments on Capitol Hill Monday despite the injury, which has her walking with crutches, the White House said.

The judge has kept up a busy schedule in Washington as the White House presses for her quick confirmation. She even stopped at the White House before heading to the hospital for an x-ray.

3. I don't know I am pretty centrist and lean right on many things

and my first thought was dear God I hope some lunatic didn't try to harm the poor women. I am not sure I like here as a SC pick but I certainly don't wish her harm in any way accidental or otherwise.
