9. Pure posturing by the CIA
Edited on Thu May-14-09 08:23 PM by MetaTrope
Not only did he know it would be denied, Cheney ordered it.

One wonders how many Valerie Plames were let go into order to make room for the Bush sock puppets.

2. Who's most afraid? Cheney or CIA?
The CIA does not want those memos to come out. Cheney is running a bluff here because he doesn't want them out either.

6. Freedom of Information Act litigation............
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.ph...

'“In researching the information in question, we have discovered that it is currently the subject of pending FOIA litigation (Bloche v. Department of Defense, Amnesty International v. Central Intelligence Agency). Therefore, the document is excluded from Mandatory Declassification Review,” Nelson wrote in the letter to the National Archives, the agency responsible for handling Cheney’s request.'

10. Ahhh, I was wondering what the "pending litigation" was....
It seems Cheney knew the documents he was requesting would NOT be released when he did his song and dance about them. What a surprise, NOT.
