GOP leader removes Web photos of Dr. Evil, bald Specter
Source: Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

CINCINNATI -- An Ohio Republican leader has taken down photos he posted on the Web of a bald Pennsylvania Sen. Arlen Specter next to hairless Dr. Evil from the "Austin Powers" movies.

On his blog, Hamilton County GOP Chairman Alex Triantafilou commented on Mr. Specter's decision to switch from Republican to Democrat and used a photo from when the senator lost his hair during chemotherapy.

That drew charges of insensitivity from Tim Burke, the Democratic chairman in Hamilton County, which includes Cincinnati. He put out a news release yesterday with the headline "Republican Party Ridicules Cancer Patient."

Mr. Triantafilou at first said his counterpart needed to "lighten up." By this morning, he'd replaced the photos with one of a frowning child.

Amazing how majority of Republicans act like brats. Perhaps the last photo is a self-portrait Chairman Alex!

2. Repulsive Repugs dime a dozen here.
I dare any South-bashers to find as much insensitivity, bad taste, racism, sexism, homophobia and public display of the confederate flag in Mobile or Baldwin counties (Alabama), as in Hamilton County, Ohio.

4. These people are real shitbags. Morals, what morals????
I am not a fan of Specters and don't expect to be one. He did it for one reason, to save his political life. We're going to have to wait & see if he made out like a bandit on this "deal" or if he actually has something to offer the Dems. We (the Dems) didn't even bad mouth that fucking racist scumbag Zell miller that bad when he did what he did. Liberal vs conservative is a moral life choice. Conservatives are shitbag do nothing, sit on their hands, GREEDY, phony on morals motherfuckers, and that's their good points.

5. Specter
Over the years of watching Specter IMHO, he has bucked his party over issues on oversight constitutional authority. He will be no better or worse than a blue dog. He will not trigger my gag reflexes. I have seen more from him as than the "Maverick" of the cock-less republicans. I wonder what the quid pro quo was?
