Clinton in Iraq amid new violence
Source: BBC News

Hillary Clinton has landed in the Iraqi capital Baghdad for her first visit to the country as US secretary of state.

Her visit comes in the wake of two days of suicide bomb attacks on Baghdad and other Iraqi towns which killed at least 155 people and wounded many others.

Mrs Clinton said she wanted to help identify how to counter the violence.

11. HRC deserved the "sniper fire" attacks during the primary, but not now while she is in Iraq
She is there doing her job, with her staffers and herself getting input on the political situation. Although there is a special envoy, Clinton and her staffers will have their input from what they see in planning the diplomatic piece. Every Democrat has said for a long time, that there is no military solution, that a political solution is needed. That is what they are working on.

While it is true that any US diplomat or Congress person will be tightly protected, this is not a fun boondoggle. It seems grueling. In addition, even with the best security, it is riskier than sitting in her office at the state department. The risk may not even be violence. Three Senators could have been hurt or died had a military pilot not earlier noticed a place where landing was possible when a snowstorm suddenly made travel impossible.

Much as I don't like threads claiming accomplishments when there do not seem to be any, this type of post really disrespects the service she is giving to the country.

12. Yup, and that seems to be OK here.
Supporting Democrats is a limited notion.

14. For some, only supporting Obama is allowed.
Support any other Democrat, particularly if their last name is Clinton, and it becomes an excuse to trash them.

Disgusting.......
