It is clear at this point that there is absolutely no love lost between Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and Levi Johnston. To recap: After he appeared on the "Tyra Banks" show to talk about his sex life with her daughter Bristol, Palin hit back hard by saying, "We're disappointed that Johnston and his family, in a quest for fame, attention, and fortune, are engaging in flat-out lies, gross exaggeration, and even distortion of their relationship."

Then Johnston appeared on CBS, claiming that he was treated like an outcast by the Palins after the election, going so far as to call the family "snobby," which surely did not go over too well in Wasilla. And while Johnston claims that he was living with the Palins for a time, the family denies that he did. Johnston's family, for their part, have backed him up and accused the Palins of lying.

Lest one think the issue has been put to rest, Sarah Palin was asked at a press conference Friday about Johnston's claim that he resided with the family before Bristol Palin gave birth to their child. Palin's response:

I know the truth about my family. I know details about whether Levi Johnston was allowed to live with my teenage daughter or not. By the way, it would be over my dead body that a kid would live with my teenage daughter.

Well, very disappointing and surprising. You know, like the Tyra Banks Show. Bristol didn’t even know he was going on the show, so, you know, quite devastated to find out he was on an airplane heading to New York to do the show. She was quite devastated, but she’s a strong young woman and quite independant, and recognizes too that sometimes folks are enticed with an idea from fame, maybe a hint of fortune attached even, and that clouds a person’s judgement. And that’s what I attribute some of Levi’s actions to. He’s a young kid. Every kid that age, they’ve got a lot of growing up to do, and but forever and ever he’s going to be Tripps father and part of our family and, you know, we will love him and help him through this also, and I anticipate at the end of the day, things are going to be good. Just kind of a rough time right now but I’m thankful that I know the truth through of that also, and by the way I do want to clear up one issue that has really just been a bee in my bonnet over the whole Levi Johnston. Take it to court, Chuck...I'm sure that Sarah is just itching to get all the juicy details out in the open, including getting the entire Palin family under oath about the baby, when he was born, the real marital status of Levi/Bristol, and much, much more!! Even better, then Levi can get full, unsupervised visits with his baby.

Chuck Heath says Levi Johnston is capitalizing on national interviews but not spending money on Tripp.

Heath says he wishes Johnston would "take some of this money he's making and buy some diapers with it."

The unemployed Johnston has said he wasn't paid for appearances on national television last week, when he complained the Palin family was limiting his access to Tripp since the couple broke up.

According to Australia's Strollerbaby, the offspring of Bristol Palin (pictured) and hockey stud Levi Johnston has already received a number gifts from well-wishers around the world. In fact, Sarah Palin's father, Chuck Heath, says that the presents have literally been piling up.

To the tune of one hundred thousand. You read that right.


The question is, how will this little soon-to-be scrapper, who also shares a family tree with accused drug dealer Sherry Johnston (Levi's mom), possibly play with, wear, or nibble on all the treats that have arrived to welcome his birth? In an interview with Grandparents.com, Mr. Heath remarked,

" all kinds of gifts laying around the place - all kinds of baby stuff. I'm in a room right now just full of baby stuff - more than she'll ever use."
