Gov. Palin blasts Levi Johnston for 'Tyra' sex talk

...Levi and his family, in a quest for fame, attention, and fortune, are engaging in flat-out lies, gross exaggeration, and even distortion of their relationship," says the statement from the Palin family rep. "Bristol's focus will remain on raising Tripp, completing her education, and advocating abstinence," the statement continues. "It is unfortunate that Levi finds it more appealing to exploit his previous relationship with Bristol than to contribute to the well being of the child."

Johnston tells Tyra Banks that he believes Sarah Palin knew he and Bristol, 18, were having sex when they lived under her roof. "I'm pretty sure she probably knew. Moms are pretty smart," Johnston says.

I know the Levi story came out earlier, but I thought this was newsworthy due to the Palin official response - sounds like this struck a real chord and could be fearful of her reputation as a 'good mom' - if she was letting them screw around IN HER HOUSE as he seems to indicate. This would seem to indicate she not only didn't care what was going on under her own roof, she wasn't very focused on practicing what she preached about 'abstinence-only' issues. She's starting to come across as less-than-genuine... even in the mothering department where she has managed to keep clear thus far.

Me thinkst she doth protest too much.

.. always the way the GOP falls on their face. They scream about something they don't want to give attention to - thus giving it MORE attention. What a dolt she is. And you are right about the fame, attention, and fortune, etc... she wrote the book on that subject - and this is stealing her spotlight.
