Lieberman open to reunion with Democratic Party
Source: TheHill.com

Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) is not ruling out running as a Democratic candidate in his reelection race in 2012. Lieberman said on Thursday that he has been asked by friends about the possibility of returning to the party that nominated him for vice president in 2000.

With his reelection race not imminent, however, Lieberman said the only probability for now is that he will seek a fifth term.

“It’s a ways away,” Lieberman told The Hill. “I’ve been asked, ‘Are you running?’ and I’ve said, ‘You have to always assume that anybody in office is running until and unless they not only announce but they actually leave the office to run for reelection.’

“I’m an independent Democrat, and that gives me options,” he added.

6. Regardless of whichever Democrat runs against Joe
he/she will just have to hang the last few years of Joe with his face pressed firmly against the ass of the GOP. The Cherry on top will be your aforesaid love affair of Joe with McCain and his speech at the Republican Presidential Convention.

Joe is toast...no matter how hard he wants to be the Democrat's bitch now.

What a rat he is.

30. "Will Johnny let him do this?"
....sure, they're already printing McCain-Lieberman bumper stickers for 2012....they'll be running as hyper-patriotic, super-conservative, centrist-main-stream Democrats....after they've destroyed Obama and his agenda in the Senate....

How about McCain/Palin? He should never be included on any Democratic strategy sessions due to his penchant for being a traitor to his party. Never trust anyone who would support him either.

10. A misleading headline from the Hill. LIEberman never said he was open. In fact, he seemed to do
all he could to avoid saying that.

I'm tired of misleading headlines anymore. (Not the fault of the thread parent.)

19. and so it begins, LIEberman's reelection campaign.
"I'm a Democrat, really, even though I didn't run as one and abandoned the party after I lost the primary!"

he knows full well he's going to get his ass handed to him regardless of what party he chooses to run under. We as a nation will finally be done with that moron.

25. Fucking opportunist, thats all he is and everyone knows it by now.
On both sides of the aisle, no one will ever trust him if he does this. His political career will be over, mark my words. Just use him like the two dollar whore he is to get the 60th vote. Since Frankens seat almost seems assured with the recent turn of events in the Coleman camp.

28. The hypocrisy is one thing...
but the stupidity astounds me. He honestly thought that a candidate who put all of his chips on Miss Alaska and Joe the Plumber was deserving to make decisions as the leader of our/his country?

to our party, it's not surprising that Lieberman would be one of them. He goes which ever way the wind is blowing.
