Obama names longtime spokesman Gibbs press chiefUpdated at 1:30 PM

President-elect Barack Obama on Saturday named longtime spokesman Robert Gibbs as White House press secretary, putting in place a communications team as he works quickly to fill his incoming administration.

Gibbs went to work for Obama's Senate campaign in 2004 and was communications director while Obama was in the Senate.

Obama rounded out his White House communications team Saturday with one outsider and one insider.

The outsider is Ellen Moran, who will be director of communications at the White House — in charge of getting Obama's message out. She is executive director of the Washington group EMILY's List — a group that backs female candidates who support abortion rights. She also has worked for the AFL-CIO.

This is the guy that called hannity an anti semite for "palling around" with anti semites and had him sputterig and squealing like a pig by the end of the interview.

Can't wait to see him put david gregory in his place.
