China fund in talks for stake in AIG unit: report
Source: reuters

The paper said U.S. insurance firm American International Group (AIG) was holding preferential talks with the CIC-led consortium, which includes Chinese insurance companies, with a year-end deadline, possibly opening the way for China to become a major player in the global insurance market.

A senior official of CIC, a $200 billion sovereign wealth fund, said this week China and other developing countries should be given more influence in the global financial system if they provide money to help resolve the world's economic crisis.

3. let the chinese buy them--aig is a world wide corporation
it`s interesting that no other country decided to put up any money to save them. let the chinese buy the company and move them to china. good ridden`s to bad rubbish...they`ll burn the chinese too.

4. AIG was founded in Shanghai, so it's natural for it to go home.
If they can also sentence the AIG executives to death for embezzling funds, that's even better.

5. What happens when China starts selling off Treasuries to buy assets
I got to think Uncle Sam's next offerings aren't going to go that well. Watch out folks that are in U.S. bonds, they are the next financial instruments to take a hit.

Bernake you better get those presses rolling to fund all those checks the U.S. is writing.
