Palin costing McCain, poll suggests
Source: CNN.Com

A new national poll suggests Sarah Palin may be hurting Republican presidential nominee John McCain more than she's helping him.

A CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Sunday indicates McCain's running mate is growing less popular among voters and may be costing him a few crucial percentage points in the race for the White House.

Fifty-seven percent of likely voters questioned in the poll said Palin does not have the personal qualities a president should have. That's up 8 points since September.

Fifty-three percent say she does not agree with them on important issues. That's also higher than September.

"Just after the GOP convention in early September, 53 percent said they would vote for Palin over Joe Biden if there were a separate vote for vice president. Now, Biden would beat Palin by 12 points if the running mates were chosen in a separate vote," said CNN Polling Director Keating Holland.

that in-appropriate for a VP.

14. Thanks much for the tip.
I'll read it after I get over hearing people say things such as "They should be of Similar Faith" in response to our canvassing question, for a down-ticket candidate in my district, about "What is your greatest concern?"

6. In what respect, CNN?
Palin's little plan is working perfectly, as it always does for her. McThuselah has served his purpose for her ends, and now it's on to something bigger and better. Sarah Palin doesn't run to play second banana for anyone.

16. A guy I work with today proudly told me he'd voted Obama.
We've alternated for years on solo weekend shifts so we have gotten to know each other quite well. He's a right wing 2nd Amendment type of guy and I am very liberal. For the most part we don't discuss politics much;we we're both set in our ways.

But as the Bush administration became so obviously incompetent and corrupt I would get my shots in and he said nothing;he's a nice guy and he knew Bush had been a disaster. So several months ago he admitted to me that Bush had been a truly horrible president.

But when McCain got the nomination I figured he would support him. But I talked to him and he said that not only was McCain unsuitable but Palin was the real deal breaker. Not only had he already voted but he got his girlfriend, who'd never voted, to register and she voted Obama as well.

24. My Brother, a moderate republican, who has always voted
republican, is voting for Obama simply because he can't stand Sarah Palin. He thinks she's too dangerous to be a heartbeat away from the presidency. Also, I've done a little work on him over the past 8 years so I think I've maybe talked some sense into him. He's one of those people that actually listen to reason after weighing the evidence of which there is so much of.

26. Tina Fey is costing McCain
That is, if the White Wing listened to NPR. Terry Gross is interviewing Tina Fey on "Fresh Air". They played a lot of sound bites from SNL, and generally had me in stitches.

She would be a real danger to the entire fucking world, if she ever gets near the White House.

Is there anything in Republicans that is poisonous to polar bears?; because, if not, I hope a polar bear eats her!

29. As much as I dislike Palin, she shouldn't be blamed for his
failed campaign. If anything, he pulled her down. They had absolutely no chemistry to offer to anybody so they can just blame each other.
