Source: Minneapolis Star-Tribune

Sen. Norm Coleman's campaign, charging that recent Al Franken TV and radio ads contain lies about Coleman, is suing Franken's campaign for violating state campaign law.

27. No ... but does it look like Norm's teeth are getting WHITER?
Is that even possible? The last ad I saw - and, Christ on a cracker, in Minnesota if you turn on the television you are going to see political ads, sometimes three for the same candidate in a single commercial break - I swear Norm's teeth went somewhere well north of polar white in color. It's scary.

Hopefully, he's done.

8. The Obama factor will push Al over the top.
That's what I'm banking on. I hope I'm right.

Barack is up by a large margin in the state and I think that will create enough Rethug apathy. I hope Obama's support isn't apathetic on Tuesday.

Just another reason for us all to remain vigilant and vote. We have several different offices that we are voting for besides the presidential race. Those other races and our candidates need us to turnout and vote and bring someone with us to the polls to ensure more of us vote.

Peace

10.  So now we're suing for lies in campaign ads??
If we're gonna start suing over this, then you're gonna see a lot of Republicans taking out HUGE loans to cover all the damages from their own campaign ads!

Oh wait... the banks aren't GIVING loans right now!

who is also a protege of Rove's. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/10/22/jeff-larson-sarah-palins_n_136957.html

edited to add this excerpt from another article:

We were kind of joking when we said Sen. Norm Coleman and Gov. Sarah Palin had something in common due to their love of Nieman Marcus. Turns out they are much closer than we thought!

The Atlantic is reporting that Sen. Norm Coleman's buddy Jeff Larson was Palin's personal shopper. Imagine that! Larson was sucked into a summer political drama when the National Journal reported that he was giving Coleman a sweetheart deal on a $600 a month apartment on Capitol Hill.

Why is Coleman opening this can of worms?

16. sued
Well you know being sued was probably the best thing that could have happened to Al Franken's book - it made it a best seller. Maybe it can help him win somehow.

24. I like Colleen Murray's response.
She says, "Our ads are factual and true, even if Norm Coleman doesn't like being held accountable for his conduct. Every time someone tries to hold Norm Coleman accountable, he runs to court to try to weasel out of it."

It ought to help Franken that Coleman has pulled this stunt before and then dropped his lawsuit after the election. I wonder if this wasn't a trap that Coleman, quite predictably, walked into.

The United States is a LIBERAL Country.
