Feinstein calls Prop. 8 'terrible mistake' in new TV spot
Source: Sacramento Bee

One of California's most popular politicians, Sen. Dianne Feinstein, speaks directly into the camera in a new TV ad urging voters to oppose the ban on gay marriage.

"In my lifetime, I've seen discrimination and I see it again in Proposition 8," Feinstein says at the start of the ad.

Feinstein goes on to say the measure is "about discrimination and "treats people differently under the law."

1. Even a broken clock...
But good for her--everyone needs to be outspoken on this. Prop 8 has boatloads of christian cash behind it.

Maybe it'll feel better if I say that she's agreeing with me.

7. So, there's something she won't surrender to the Repubs?
There must be no money in it.

Mean, I know, but after watching her capitulate time and time again to idiotic RW ideas, at least I'm glad she's doing this.

10. The shameful wartime profiteer speaks out about prop. 8 and the rights it
Edited on Tue Oct-28-08 07:29 PM by diva77
threatens...what a hypocrite. I would at least applaud her if she took it a step further and stressed the hundreds of millions that these religion driven initiatives cost the taxpayers...oh and if she donated her millions in war profits to civilians and vets disabled by the war

13. Good for DiFi.
She was a supe and mayor in the gayest city in the country after all.
I think she's not a moderate on this one because she knows better.

16. I'm afraid it's too little, too late
She should have been with Gavin Newsome at San Francisco City Hall on May 15 clapping and cheering with everyone else when gay marriage in CA was legally allowed. God, she needs to retire.:banghead:

17. Feinstein has been all over the place on gay rights issues every since
she was on the san francisco board of supervisors... She's one of those retail politicians who don't have a real following.
