Padilla prosecutors get award from Justice Department

The Justice Department recognized a South Florida team of prosecutors on Monday for their convictions of Jose Padilla and two others on charges of providing support to Islamic terrorists.

The Award for Exceptional Service, the highest honor, went to Assistant U.S. Attorneys Russell R. Killinger, Brian K. Frazier, John C. Shipley Jr., Lisa Tobin Rubio, Anne R. Schultz and Robert K. Senior.

Also recognized: Stephanie K. Pell, counsel to the deputy attorney general, and Miami FBI Special Agents Kent T. Hukill and John T. Kavanaugh Jr.

The CIA is in deep legal jeopardy.

Not only has the CIA committed illegal acts on John Yoo's (et. al.) sycophantic premise of rewriting the laws to protect this administration, the CIA has destroyed this videotape evidence of illegal torture that defense attorneys in at least two court cases had requested to help in the defense of their clients.

In addition, this videotape evidence was secreted from the 9-11 Commission in its deliberations.

3. The last 8 years make me so angry!

In my wildest dreams I never would have imagined that I would see my America turn into “The Dark Side”. The premeditated rape and plunder of my country much less the world by a handful of criminals is sometimes just too much to wrap my brain around. I’m too numb to even attempt to hope for rescue next Tuesday. I’m angry, very, very angry. The anger is directed toward Al “The sky is falling” Gore and John “Panty Waist” Kerry. I lay this whole global tragedy at their feet.

Neither of them had the courage to stand up to the gangsters who blatantly and without shame stole two elections. They both just bellied up, whimpered and crawled away at the first sign of conflict. They never even paused.

Both had more than a chance to set things right. Especially Kerry. If one of them .. just one of them had said “now wait a minute”, just imagine what the world would be like today.

5. Ultimately, it's the people's fault

Too many people felt that it was more important that we keep social order rather than keep control of our government. The cry of these people was "The President is not all-powerful. How much damage can he do?"

I hope everyone learned their lesson.

Gore fought every way he could. 2004 almost seemed a planned loss by our leadership.

What will happen if we get defrauded again? In my nightmares, nobody rises to stop them again.

6. What further action do you think Gore could have taken?

Raise an army and lay siege to the supreme court? Gore used every avenue legally available to him. I'm afraid I have no patience w/ people who fault Gore. I have a much bigger argument w/ the DNC & the dlc chairman for not getting more actively involved w/ shouting, obnoxious people to counter the RNC imported shouting, obnoxious publicans.
