McCain might skip his own election-night party
Source: Associated Press

John McCain's election night watch party might be missing John McCain. Instead of appearing before a throng of supporters at the Biltmore Hotel in Phoenix on the evening of Nov. 4, the Republican presidential nominee plans to deliver postelection remarks to a small group of reporters and guests on the hotel's lawn.

Aides said Thursday that the arrangement was due to space limitations and that McCain might drop by the election watch party at some other point.

McCain's remarks will be piped electronically into the party and media filing center, aides said. Only a small press "pool" — mostly those who have traveled regularly with the candidate on his campaign plane, plus a few local Arizona reporters and others — will be physically present when he speaks.

THAT'S how Repuke the AZ media is. I heard the paper being called "The AZ Repulsive", which I think is a more apt term.

New Times is always nipping at the Repukes' heels. And don't forget that Nova M Radio has its HQ there. ;)

9. What is it with this guy and his hiding from people?
He even wrote about it in his book, that everyone ran on deck to fight the fire McCain's airplane caused, while he went below to the ready room and watched the firefighting on closed circuit tv.
After the "Town Hall" debate, , McCain wandered off with Cindy and went backstage, watched
Obama work the crowd.

His election watch party has "space limitations"?
Great...a Presidential nominee with Social Phobia.

18. My son works at the Biltmore
Edited on Thu Oct-23-08 06:00 PM by DesertRat
in the audio visual dept. He's been dreading election night because they were told that everyone had to work and to plan on working throughout the night. He worked the night that McSame won the nomination and it was so busy. The national media were there until all hours of the night. They have to wait until the press all leaves before they can break down the sets.

It's a bunch of BULL that there are "space limitations". They have 3 massive ballrooms and tons of additional meeting space which was all reserved for McSame. This definately means that the McSame camp knows he's going to lose.

Hopefully, with this news, the event will be more low key. Then my son can come over to our house for our election night party!

BTW, the McCain's luxury penthouse condo. is only a couple of blocks from the Biltmore.

32. McCain might skip his own election-night party
Source: Yahoo News

NEW YORK – Republican John McCain is not going to make his election night remarks in the traditional style — at a podium standing in front of a sea of campaign workers jammed into a hotel ballroom. Oh, the throng of supporters will hold the usual election night party at the Biltmore Hotel in Phoenix on the evening of Nov. 4.

But the Republican presidential nominee plans to address another group of supporters and a small group of reporters on the hotel lawn; his remarks will be simultaneously piped electronically to the party inside and other reporters in a media filing center, aides said.

Aides said Thursday that the arrangement was the result of space limitations and that McCain might drop by the election watch party at some other point.

Only a small press "pool" — mostly those who have traveled regularly with the candidate on his campaign plane, plus a few local Arizona reporters and other guests — will be physically present when McCain speaks.

I take this as McLoser is abandoning his traditional supporter for the shame of losing. This is very interesting to me.
