VP candidate Palin introduces 'Ed the Dairyman' (move over Joe the Plumber)
Source: The Associated Press

ROSWELL, N.M. (AP) — Joe the Plumber, meet Ed the Dairyman.

Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin spoke to a crowd of about 10,000 supporters Sunday in a Roswell airplane hangar, not only making a reference to Joe the Plumber, but alluding several times to "Ed the Dairyman" after seeing someone in the crowd holding a sign identifying himself that way.

12. Distract the MSM with a new "Joe" every few days
10/15/08 - "Joe the Plumber"
10/19/08 - "Ed the Dairyman"
10/22/08 - "Hazel the Mechanic"
10/26/08 - "Bob the Baker"
10/29/08 - "Mary the Waitress"
11/02/08 - "Wayne the Trucker"

Each will be selected to illustrate an impossible scenario in which McCain's plan benefits them more than Obama's. None will be properly vetted. All will be Googled by reporters. Most will be discovered to have skeletons in their closet. Each time, McCain and Palin will act surprised that anyone looked into their pasts and will blame Obama. All of the idiots who already support McCain/Palin will drink the Kool-Aid but most people with normal or above average intelligence will see through it.

34. I've worked it out! It's all characters from the BBC radio soap "The Archers"
we have Ed the Dairyman; previously we've had Joe the handyman; we also have the pregnant teenager (a new plot line, so they haven't updated the web bio yet); the elderly man sliding into dementia; and the evil speculator obsessed with money (they stand in for the rest of the Republican party).

I can't fit Palin into the cast, though. She'd be far too ridiculous to appear in a soap opera.

42. I wonder if she'll ever mention
Juan the day laborer
Kosuke the night auditor
Meskeerem the mail clerk
Tonisha the grocery clerk
Shaffei the cab driver
Villi the ditchdigger

etc.

Or do they all have to be white males to qualify as working-class stiffs?

49. Now she's getting really cheesey.
She knows they're going to get creamed. However, there is no need to cry over spilled milk. Though her image has curdled, she'll still be able to milk the Repub talking heads circuit for a while. Though, I expect as her popularity will fades, demand for her on their shows will drop in favor of the usual pundits. I mean, why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free.
