Victim Talks To 12 News In Exclusive Interview

CALEDONIA, Wis. -- Police in Caledonia are investigating the assault of a campaign volunteer as she was canvassing for Senator Barack Obama Saturday afternoon.

In an exclusive interview with 12 News, 58 year-old Nancy Takehara of Chicago says she was going door-to-door when she came across a disgruntled homeowner.

“The next thing I know he’s telling us we’re not his people, we’re probably with ACORN, and he started screaming and raving,” Takehara said. “He grabbed me by the back of the neck. I thought he was going to rip my hair out of my head. He was pounding on my head and screaming. The man terrified me.”

3. That is not right
How can someone attack an old Innocent lady. Good thing she talk to Obama on the phone that would made me feel better. Why can't other people see that Obama is a nice, caring person. They are so blind by hatred because of McCain/Palin and there belief's.

6. Very classy - Obama spoke with her personally ...
Takehara was encouraged when she had a message waiting at home from the candidate she is fighting for. Takehara called back and she and Senator Obama talked one-on-one.

Takehara said, “Senator Obama understood… it was wonderful. It made me feel wonderful. It made me feel connected to this government again.”

Hope the assailant is charged with assault and battery.

Have some compassion. After all, it was just a ANTI-AMERICAN he beat up, the kind Michelle Bachmann says needs to be investigated.

9. Divisive Politics
McCain and Palin are sowing seeds that will be hard to unsow. They would rather destroy our country than lose an election.

13. You are exactly right.
The question that keeps running in my head is "To what end?" To what end can McCain think race-baiting, fear inducing, and hate stirring will come to? Even if...*if* he were to win steal the election the end result would be a very large proportion of angry and disenfranchised people with a country sinking to her knees under the burden.

To what end? The destruction of the United States?

Because honestly he is orchestrating the most anti-american acts or being complicit to them.

17. Scorched Earth Campaign. If they can't win they want to take America down with 'em
and then blame the resulting mess on the dems setting themselves up for the next election.

If I want to go further there is also the chance they want to trigger violence in many areas so they can testout those new probably-not-lethal crowd control devices that Army group has, maybe even go for calling martial law or at least keeping w. in the white house some time longer.

Listen for the condemnation of such actions from the McCain Palin ticket *crickets*.

Personal responsibility? Only applied to nonrepublicans. Republicans who behave badly are absolved.

Hopefully, not. I hope assault charges are filed.
