Palin Calls Troopergate Investigation BiasedUpdated at 3:23 PM

Vice Presidential Candidate Rejects Claims That Campaign Is Negative

DOVER, N.H. -- Republican vice presidential candidate Gov. Sarah Palin said Wednesday that an investigation into the dismissal of an Alaskan state official that found she violated ethical rules was biased.

In an exclusive interview with News 9, Palin addressed the recent report on the so-called Troopergate scandal, in which the Alaska commissioner for public safety was dismissed. The commissioner said that his dismissal might have been related to his reluctance to fire Mike Wooten, an Alaska state trooper who is also Palin's ex-brother-in-law.

...

"Obviously, it's a political goat rope, what occurred up there," she said. "With partisans who have never been really thrilled with anything I've done as governor."

...

Palin also rejected criticisms that the campaign has been negative with less than three weeks before Election Day. She said that she and Sen. John McCain have been criticizing Sen. Barack Obama's record and not making negative attacks.

"I do not think it's negative or mean-spirited at all, not whatsoever, when you call someone out on their record," Palin said.

3. From what I understand
This investigation isn't like Senate or House investigations where bias dominates the investigation. I'm going to use Palin tactics if I ever get in a legal bind and see how I end up.

I'm pretty sure that'd be great for a lot of laughs.

7. If McCain and Palin wins
I'm moving to Canada if possible. I'm fed up of 8 years of Rovian speak, avoiding press conferences, lying, etc. I don't think I can take it any more. It boggles my mind why people vote for someone that has surrogates spins the truth, misleads their own supporters, relentless false attacks that gain media attention. Ex. "Gore invented the internet"

Her end-of-world base will believe ANYTHING she says. These people are planning to inherit the wreckage of the GOP after they run it aground.

10. so sarah, the pukes hate you and so do the dems?
who is not a partisan in your book then? would that be the Alaksan Indpendence Party? Yeah, I thought so. Palin hates Democracy and America-- calls both parties partisan but adores the AIPers. Her door is always open to them. Hmm.... Did you think, in all of your infinite wisdom, sarah, that Pastor Wuthie was unbiased when he declared who was a witch and who wasn't?

15. Goat Rope def
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Goat-rop...

Goat-rope
"US military (specifically Air Force military transport) jargon ca. 1970s-1980s, referring to an operation or undertaking involving an unnecessarily large number of people, most of them contributing nothing or actually impeding progress. Typically used to refer to flightline operations where military brass felt it necessary to make their presence felt and impede the normal duties/operations of the aircrew, offering "advice" or "assistance" that was neither requested nor needed."

It also can mean "a total disaster, f-up."
