Palin does not want to abandon Michigan
Source: AP

John McCain's campaign may have given up on Michigan, but his running mate has not.

Sarah Palin, energized by last night's vice presidential debate, tells Fox News she wants to "get back" to Michigan, despite what the polls there show. The McCain campaign is pulling resources out of the state to use elsewhere.

Michigan went to the Democrats in the 2004 presidential election, but McCain felt it might be in play until recently.

<snip>

News broke yesterday that the McCain campaign was pulling out of Michigan effectively conceding the state to Barack Obama. This morning, Sarah Palin told Fox News Channel’s Carl Cameron that she disagreed with the decision and tried to stop the pull-out adding that she is willing to help the camp continue to fight for Michigan:

“I read that this morning and I fired off a quick e-mail and said, ‘Oh come on do we have to? Do we have to call it there?’ Todd and I would be happy to get to Michigan and walk through those plants of the car manufacturers.” Palin said, “We’d be so happy to get to speak to the people in Michigan, who are hurtin’ because the economy is hurtin’. Whatever we can do and whatever Todd and I can do in realizing what their challenges in that state are, as we can relate to them and connect with them and promise that we won’t let them down in the administration. I want to get back to Michigan and I want to try.”

7. She actually thinks she won that debate
Because she didn't fart audibly she thinks she has fooled everybody and she now wants to be more visible everywhere. I say bring it on, she definitely does not wear well. The more people see of her, the more her unfavorable ratings slump. The McCain people will not react positively to her little spiel I fear. This is gonna get really interesting if she really starts to feel her oats.

26. She truly is Bush in drag
She's too dumb to know how dumb she is

Just hope there are enough non-dumb Americans to keep her out of national politics

I also hope that she is a Ross Perot--popular now but not popular in the next election

Yeah Sarah, go to Michigan and "promise" that you won't let them down...without explaining exactly how you're going to help.

Meanwhile, Obama will grab a couple of those "East Coast" states.

19. So let's see............
Wasn't it just the other day when McCain claimed that he consults Palin for advice on a regular basis?

And yet apparently Palin has to get important information about their own campaign from newspaper headlines.

Here's a headline for ya, Sarah -

PALIN ANNOUNCES THAT SHE IS NOTHING BUT A CAMPAIGN DECORATION; NOT INFORMED BY McCAIN CAMPAIGN OF EVEN MAJOR STRATEGIC DECISIONS

20. Delicious
More of this, please. It makes McCain look weak and ineffectual to his good ole boy supporters, and does nothing to enhance his ticket's chances in Michigan. Boy, whoever thought of convincing McCain to name Palin as his running mate deserves a promotion from Obama.

I mean, uh, gee, she doesn't seem to have done her ticket much good.

29. She READ?
She read it? She said she READ it. Did they not tell her they were going to do this? Why wouldn't they? Then she responds via email, she didn't call McCain or anyone else for that matter she sent an email. This has got to be the craziest campaign ever. A reporter needs to follow up on this.

30. McCain already fears her.
Edited on Fri Oct-03-08 04:11 PM by sattahipdeep
Laura Chase has a message for the world: “There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t wish I hadn’t done my job so damned effectively.” The job in question was managing Palin’s successful campaign for mayor of Wasilla in 1996. Palin ousted three-term incumbent John Stein in a rough campaign; she secured the endorsement of the National Rifle Association and injected hot-button “wedge” issues like abortion into the race for what had previously been a non-partisan office, affixing to Stein the label Palin would later use so effectively statewide to bring down entrenched Republican pols – “Good Old Boy”.

“She’s nothing like us!” she stammered, “she doesn’t know what it’s like to not be able to pay the bills, to not be able to get credit cards or health insurance for the kids. Not everyone has what they have; that image is a lie. And it’s not that she’s like us. We’d like to believe that. People are living vicariously through her. They feel they’re missing something in life. But she has that way where she can impact someone in that manner; its like you feel you’re living that life, and that’s why she can say ‘Oh, I’m just one of them,’ because we’re desperately trying to live vicariously through her energetic and determined lifestyle.

http://www.thenational.ae/article/20081003/REVIEW/565545479/-1/SPORT

Sarah Palin has already shown that she will get rid of anyone who opposes her. She has been shown to be a liar and a blood thirsty killer, hunting down endangered bears and shooting wolves from an airplane. How evil is that? These incidents show that she will do what she wants to do and any evidence showing her acts to be criminal or immoral are covered up or outright denied. Consider the report from Rick Steiner, a University of Alaska professor:

Her lust for power knows no bounds. Anyone that stands in her way will be disposed of. Perhaps this is the reason that McCain hides behind her, letting her take center stage. He already fears her. If this is the Repugnican's way of getting a woman in the Presidential office they sure chose the right one for the job. But, if they think they will be able to control her they are dead wrong," -politically

I think he IS afraid of her now--and with good reason.

She's not a meek, obedient, battered-wife type like Cindy. She'll bite back, hard.

I suspect McCain, whatever the outcome of this election, will be looking over his shoulder for the rest of his life.
