Clinton blindsided by scheduled event with Palin
Source: The Associated Press

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton has canceled an appearance at a New York rally next week after organizers blindsided her by inviting Republican vice presidential candidate and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, aides to the senator said Tuesday.

Several American Jewish groups plan a major rally outside the United Nations on Sept. 22 to protest against Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. ...

... That would have set up a closely scrutinized and potentially explosive pairing in the midst of a presidential campaign, one in which the New York senator is campaigning for Democratic nominee Barack Obama while Palin actively courts disappointed Clinton supporters.

Clinton aides were furious. They first learned of the plan to have both Clinton and Palin appear when informed by reporters. ...

2. Boooh on the organizers. Hurrah for Hillary!
I will point out that Christians like Palin will murder every Jew that rejects Jesus as GAWD. That's what it says in their precious Book of Revelation, and that's at the heart of their theology.

4. Grace and salvation are the heart of Christian theology.
This Daniel-Revelation stuff is some later weird sectarian offshoot. Well, of course, there is "Extra ecclesiam nulla salus est" but even the Catholics interpret that a bit more loosely these days.

14. Chapter and verse would be good for that accusation,
but then you might actually of had to read the Book of Revelation. Although no longer a practicing Christian, I have read the Book of Revelation and for the life of me I simply cannot remember the part where it says that Christians will murder every Jew who rejects Jesus as God. So could you point that out?

22. perhaps IG meant Palin's Church's Warped Version of Revelations?
Shades of Wright on Right: Jews peeved about Palin's pastor and his pulpit preachers

http://israelinsider.ning.com/profiles/blog/show?id=2018399%3ABlogPost%3A5506

Just over two weeks ago, on August 17, Sarah Palin’s spiritual home, the Wasilla Bible Church, gave its pulpit over to a figure viewed with deep distrust by most Jews and Jewish organizations: David Brickner, the executive director of Jews for Jesus, a cult-like group that aggressively seeks to convert Jews to its own variation of Christianity.

The Anti-Defamation League has accused Jews for Jesus “aggressive proselytizing with a deceptive message: that Jews who accept Jesus as the son of God and their savior remain Jewish” and “targeting Jews for conversion with subterfuge and deception.”
Senior Pastor Larry Kroon, the church's Senior pastor and longtime associate of Brickner, told JTA: “I don't feel it's deceptive,” . “Look at Paul and Peter and the others -- they were Jews and believed in Jesus as the messiah. There’s gentile believers and there’s Jewish believers that acknowledge Jesus as messiah. There’s Swedish believers."

Brickner, for his part, justified his organization's purpose with the claim that Jesus and his disciples were themselves Jewish. “The Jewish community, in particular, has a difficult time understanding this reality,” he said, as if this "historical" claim is the source of Jews' animosity toward his mission.
In Wasilla, with Sarah Palin present in the pews, Brickner spoke for about 30 minutes about his group’s successful effort to introduce Israelis to Jesus. Here he describes playing music in Jerusalem with his evangelical band The Liberated Wailing Wall:

Now, most Israelis are secular. And they were drawn by the music, and we had t-shirts on that said “Yehudim L’man Yeshua” (Jews for Jesus), so they knew who we were; but that was ok. They were enjoying the music; some were clapping. There were some that were even dancing off to the side. I thought to myself, “Boy, this is great! We’re preachin’ the gospel right here on the streets of Jerusalem.”

Brickner implied that terrorism was the result of the Jews' rejection of Jesus as God:

34. The whole concept of the "Rapture" and the End Times scenario tortures a lot of scripture
as it cuts and pastes a lot of Bible verses together and then gives these passages new meanings in order to fit them into their theory puzzle picture. Years ago I studied it, examining all of the scriptures involved and even looking at the meaning and usage of the original languages and when look at critically from a Biblical viewpoint the doctrine of The Rapture does not hold up. But in all of this I never read anywhere about Christians murdering Jews in an end times scenario because they would not accept Jesus as their God. (To be honest, I went to a church that believed in The Rapture and I studied it to prove it to be true and came out the other side believing the opposite.)

25. Joel's Army is a wacked out group by any standard, and Palin
supports them strongly.

It is not just creationism, nor destruction of the separation of church and state, it is her & their intent to take over the middle east with military force. Many Joel's assholes aim for military posts, especially in the Air Force and Army. Who was that crazy top level general that Rumsfeld loved, Boyton?
I believe he spoke several times to groups like Joel's Army and was warmly received.

18. Iran is having coffee with the U.N. International Atomic Energy Agency
Perhaps Sarah will be able to suck up funding for a bridge between the agency and the evil country uncle Dick wants to invade.

¨Iranian stonewalling has stalled a U.N. investigation into whether Iran conducted nuclear weapons research, according to a new U.N. nuclear watchdog report that for the first time raised the possibility that foreign experts may have assisted in Iranian nuclear experiments.

"We would describe it as gridlock," said a senior U.N. official, who discussed the report's findings Monday in return for anonymity because the six-page document was restricted to the 35-member board of the Vienna, Austria-based U.N. International Atomic Energy Agency.¨

16. I thought of that too, but it's better than letting Palin use Hillary to gain media attention
and photo ops.

It would either billed by the RNC and the media as a 'face off' of the two women.

- OR -

To legitimize Palin. Having Palin and Hillary at the same event would create the illusion that both women are equals.

Hillary is an educated and accomplished person of substance.

Palin is the Jerry Springer Show of political opportunism.

23. We Jews have been abused no different than any other of the Amerikan Subject Populace.
Edited on Wed Sep-17-08 06:11 AM by tom_paine
10-20% of our populatrion, no more, runs the Jewish Organizations and other Bush Appendages.

They speak for the other 80% of us, who would NEVER be allowed near any media instrument where we might reach more than 10,000 people at once.

African-Americans, look out. Your next and look at the cadre of Bushie-bribed African-American Bushies, flush in White Bushie monies and safe as any rich person from the vicissitudes of alife.

And all that was required, as with the 10-20% of we Jews, to sell out for a most handsome monetary reward (plus power, media exposure, fame, and the fact that Nazis and Bushies ALWAYS "win", even when they pretend to "lose", for plausible deniability's sake...that's got to be a powerful allure)

Anyway...it happened to White People, Jews, and probably other groups. African-Americans...you are next.

Beware Jesse Lee Peterson, his pockets overflowing with White Bushie Money, and the rest of 'em.

28. Hillary Should Not Be There in the First Place
Clinton and Palin aren't so different after all. It's all this "macho" bravado that made me so glad that Hillary did not become our candidate. This confrontational attitude is not what I want in a candidate. I'm embarrassed that she ever intended to go to such a rally in the first place.
Bush began his Presidency with his "axis of evil" speech, setting up a potential conflict. Look where it's gotten us.

Just curious if there is any backlash or statements by rally attendants who may have planned to be there because of Hillary's presence.

I would personally cancell my attendance and let the organizers know exactly why.

Will she stand there and spout that she is 'just like them'?
She needs to go back to small town Alaska & take care of the Palin brood.

Palin will personaly have NO CLUE as to whom she is speaking to nor what she is talking about.
Just more P.R. from the Rovian handlers for the Palin promo.
