George Bush isn't in charge, says Vladimir Putin
Source: Times Online

In a thinly veiled dig at George Bush, Vladimir Putin today suggested that the US President was not in charge of American affairs, saying that it was “the court that makes the king”.

Amid heightened tensions with the US in the wake of the war in Georgia, the Russian Prime Minister insisted that the US leader was a man of honour and integrity, but blamed members of the administration for the sharp deterioration of relations with Russia.

”I still hope we will maintain good relations, but it is the court that makes the king,” he told a group of foreign journalists in an interview at his residence in the Black Sea resort of Sochi.

He nonetheless spoke fondly of his relationship with Mr Bush, saying, only half-jokingly: ”I treat President Bush better than some Americans would”.

1. I suspect he is thinking more "court jester" or likely, "court idiot"
rather than implying Bush* to be the control of US judicial courts.

9. Yes, the reference was to the 'royal' court.
Nothing to do with justice at all--although that department did have a jester of it's own.

37. I think it was a deft double entendre.
Obviously, his primary reference was to the "royal court." But don't think for an instant that he is not aware that it was SCOTUS that put * in the White House in the first place.

Good one, Pootie Poot.

12. Well, it was the SUPREME COURT that made the boy-king.
And it is the courtiers that hold the power. george w. bush* was the President of the United States only in his own mind and in the minds of the millions of gullible idiots. cheney* the impaler was always the power behind the throne. Always.

34. A Cautionary Tale
We have long understood that Pres. Bush is not in charge. In fact, we suspect that he doesn't even know half of what's going on. He's manipulated by his "handlers," neocons such as people who were members PNAC. People like Rumsfeld, Abram, Wolfowitz, Woolsey, Libby. They're not all gone. Randy Scheunemann is still playing a big part.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_for_the_New_American_Century

Now some Americans are proposing that we put Sarah Palin within a heartbeat of the Presidency. Who do you think her handlers will be? You know that she won't be able to make her own decisions without help.
