Setting The Record: Palin's Earmarks
Source: CBS NEWS

(CBS) Its one of those claims that gets so much applause.

"I told Congress 'thanks but no thanks,' to that bridge to nowhere," Palin has said over and over on the campaign trail, CBS News correspondent Wyatt Andrews reports.

Gov. Sarah Palin just won't let it go. But the truth is the governor never rebuffed Congress. Here are the facts.
<snip>

By repeating the claim she said no thanks to the bridge, the implication is that she confronted a spendthrift Congress recklessly wasting money.

The record shows she wanted that bridge until the end and kept the money.

She's a great big liar. And CBS is calling her on it. $233 Million Dollar Lie. Read the story... it's short and sweet, and there's a video too.

1. Thank heavens this is getting out there, but will
anyone actually read it? Or hear and see it if it's broadcast? Will it sink in?

2. Who knew?
LEE'S SUMMIT, Mo. – John McCain and Sarah Palin criticized Democrat Barack Obama over the amount of money he has requested for his home state of Illinois, even though Alaska under Palin's leadership has asked Washington for 10 times more money per citizen for pet projects.

4. That's the crux of it: The compulsive lying;
even to themselves.

5. She doesn't get to be a liar AND a Christian. Nope!!!!
THAT'S what I hope she starts getting called on.

It's one of the "Big Ten". She doesn't get to lap up the Christian vote AND lie. Right there is the hole in their cover. McC doesn't get to either for that matter, because he's running on that base of support.

If they won't listen to issues, hit 'em on their home turf. McC deliberately lies every time he opens his mouth. Palin too. And she lied her way from Alaska to VP. That's not ok. Time for the Religious Right to do a little 'splainin' themselves.

From now on, every RW voter I talk to, I'm going to say "So it doesn't bother you that McCain lies about Obama constantly? And how does that square with 'Christian values'?"
