Biden questions honesty of McCain, Palin
Source: Miami Herald

MEHLVILLE, Mo. -- Democratic vice presidential nominee Joe Biden went for the jugular Tuesday, as he repeatedly accused the Republican ticket of John McCain and Sarah Palin of waging a campaign of deception.

"We need a little bit of honesty in this campaign," Biden said, and asserted that the GOP was failing to tell American voters that they would do little to change the nation's economic policy. Instead, he said, Republicans are making false assertions about the Democratic proposals of Biden and the presidential nominee, Barack Obama.

For example, he said that McCain isn't talking about his plan to tax the health care benefits that millions of Americans get through their job.

A person earning $50,000 a year, with employer-provided health care worth $12,000 a year, would have to pay income taxes on all $62,000, Biden said. Now, no taxes are levied on their health care benefits.

McCain is highlighting his proposed $5,000 a year tax credit to offset some of that tax hike, but Biden noted that at least $7,000 would still be subject to the tax.

Biden also asserted that McCain's plan would prompt many businesses to drop health care coverage for their workers.

1. "Give 'em the Truth and they'll THINK it's hell!"

Admiral Combover would be a disaster for those clinging to middle class status.

2. As Harry Truman said,
"Tell the truth on them and it feels like hell." The lies of the GOP need to be exposed again and again. Interesting, isn't it, that Biden is the only one talking about the GOP health care program.....

5. Great!
I was hoping and Obama would go this way. When the public finds out about McCain's plans to tax their health care benefits they'll have a whole new take on him. Especially after all the lies McCain told about Obama raising taxes.

9. Biden needs to keep hammering the point that McCain/Palin are a couple of liars.
And demonstrate how Palin is Cheney-esque.

11. FEELIZE IT
the Left needs to speak on the emotional level & real loud now, let the truth be heard for the 1st time in a while FEELIZE your place, make America feel. The Best Year of Our Lives film from 1946 (or so) the Dems from that time were on it & quickly pushed back on the Right; it takes a storyteller to connect emotions to facts, it also takes a liar to ignore facts, use this!

12. I thought he couldn't raise his arms above his shoulders?
They said at the Republican convention that he couldn't even salute the flag any longer, because he had his arms broken when he was a POW.

Praise Jeebus! It's a miracle!!!

:sarcasm:
