2nd District (Ne) now has battleground status
Source: Omaha World Herald

BY ROBYNN TYSVER AND JOSEPH MORTON

ST. PAUL, Minn. - With the hoopla of the national conventions behind them, Nebraska and Iowa delegates have returned home to plant yard signs and volunteer for the presidential candidates.

They're gearing up for a bruising election fight between Democrat Barack Obama and Republican John McCain.

An unusually large number of states remain in play. Polls show the race is tight in the traditional battlegrounds of Ohio and Pennsylvania, and even in GOP strongholds such as Nevada and South Dakota.

Here's the most unusual battleground of all: Nebraska's 2nd Congressional District, where the campaigns are fighting for a single electoral vote and private polling shows a close race between McCain and Obama.

You know damn well in Nebraska, they mostly think McCain is a GODSEND. I doubt Nebraska in itself will ever go blue in the next century and my Democrat vote for Kleeb and Obama will be useless, I do hope at least 1 district goes blue and gives Obama at least 1 electoral. 1 is better then none.
