Korean men admit alien smuggling
Two confess involvement in form of `modern slave' smuggling

Two Korean men have confessed to involvement in a form of "modern slave" smuggling on the U.S. border in Eastern Washington.

Federal investigators say the two men and others with suspected ties to organized crime and prostitution in the United States were smuggling Korean women into the United States from Canada.

Alien smuggling east of the Cascades has grown significantly in the past year because of increased security along the U.S.-Canadian border in western Washington, authorities say.
