DENVER (AP) - Hillary Rodham Clinton's supporters had mixed reactions Saturday to the selection of Joe Biden as the Democrats' vice presidential candidate.

Susan Castner, a Clinton delegate from Portland, Ore., said she sees some of Clinton's qualities in Biden. She likes his experience, especially on foreign policy. "It really kind of humanizes Barack Obama," Castner said. "He has this air of perfection, and Joe Biden is more down to earth." "I love his passion," Castner said of Biden. "I like him a lot."

"It's a total diss to Sen. Clinton, in my opinion," said Diane Mantouvalos, co-founder of the Just Say No Deal Coalition. "It just speaks volumes about how Barack Obama doesn't stand for anything."

Mantouvalos, of Miami, is part of an Internet movement of Clinton supporters who refuse to back Obama, regardless of pleas from Clinton herself. Mantouvalos is in Denver, where the Democratic National Convention is scheduled to start Monday, stoking anti-Obama sentiment.

Now back to reality. I will be voting for Obama/Biden but I think the Biden choice is way wrong and here is why.

I always liked Obama even in the Primaries and when it came down to Clinton or Obama I felt like we (as a party) could not lose. I like obama because he is something new and different in politics and his message of diversity and bipartisanship is exactly what this country needs after the idiot in the WH now.

Howerver, Biden has been in D.C. longer then even Mcsame so the message about change gest convoluted. Saying that McCain was the same old worn out politics was resonating... now it looks a little hypocritical to say this ticket is the change we want in D.C especially when Congress polls at all time lows. Personally, Clinton would have been my pick but even Kathleen Sebilus would have won over some women voters, most HRC supporters and would continue to foster that message of real change... I just don't know what people are thinking anymore....
