Obama notifies candidates on shortlist
Source: cnn.com

(CNN) -- Sen. Barack Obama called some people on his shortlist for the vice presidential slot Thursday night to tell them he had not selected them as a running mate, a highly placed Democratic Party source said.

The source did not say which people got the call.

Rep. Chet Edwards said Friday that the campaign had vetted him but that he hasn't talked to Obama.

Edwards, 56, is a nine-term congressman representing a central Texas district that includes President Bush's ranch in Crawford.

Well this is kinda a something, but since we don't know who Obama called, it's really a nothing.


Everybody is desperate for news.
I love watching the pundits go as crazy and we are going.

Obama's probably sitting home having a good laugh at the frenzy he's caused.
