'I will win,' Obama promises donors

"I will win. Don't worry about that," Obama, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, said during a Sunday night fundraiser in San Francisco, California.

Obama raised a whopping $7.8 million in a series of events Sunday in San Francisco, a key fundraiser for the Democrat said. The campaign would not confirm the total, but, if accurate, it would present the largest Obama fundraising day to date.

"The fact of the matter is, at a certain point, when government has not been serving the people for this long, people get cynical. They tune out. And they start saying to themselves, a plague on both your houses," Obama said.

"They are willing to consume negative information more frequently than positive information, for good reason. They've seen how promises haven't been kept."

"John McCain, all he wants to do is talk about me. They know they can't win on the issues. So what they'll do is they'll try to scare people. 'He's risky. He's risky. We're not sure,' " he said.

& Colorado....

If he wins Ohio alone, it's over...

But Virginia will be in play for sure, & Indiana especially if the VP is Bayh...

Honestly, Obama winning this election would give me the same joy if I won the Powerball, this election is that damn important...

Wouldn't you rather have a president you can have a beer with? Hasn't that been an enlightening experience for us all? Hasn't our country's image improved since the drunk-in-chief took office? Can't you see my sarcasm?

Obama should be at least 10 points ahead -- we need a landslide!

But so should have Al and Kerry. I think Obama is going to win by a landslide if they don't steal it again. And I think Obama is going to win Alaska too.

7.8 million at a few stops? Jeeze, I wonder who's at these.

But sure enough I'm pretty sure he will win though it's shocking to me that it may not be by double-digits as it should when he's running against one of the most pathetic men in the country.

15. CNN sucks!
And is totally in bed with McSame, but I think most DUers already know that. The article starts with a few short sentences about Obama in SF and a couple of quotes, and then proceeds to give the rest of the story to McCain, where he stands, a few quotes, and where he's going, with far more depth and coverage than they gave Obama.

18. They do.
I put the networks in this order, from conservative-friendly to progressive(truth)-friendly:

FOX

ABC
CNN
NBC/MSNBC

CBS
PBS/BBC

I stayed away from CBS for a long time because of Couric, but I've come back to them for my network half-hour. She's gone a lot these days anyway. But after a steady diet of ABC and NBC evening news, they are actually refreshing. ABC and NBC definitely lean to the right in their evening news. CBS seems a bit more free of it.

CNN will bend over backwards to keep this a close race. It means more eyeballs glued to them, 24/7. That is where their main interest lies. Just like FOX and MSNBC. So we won't get the real truth out of them.

21. They Don't Want A Close Race, They Want McAin't to "Win"
If CNN could engineer a landslide for McCrazy, they would.
If the best they can do is a race that is close enough for the Repiggies to steal, they're OK with that.

It isn't about ratings, it is about keeping the Repiggies in power.
