Clinton on An Iran Attack: 'Obliterate Them'

Clinton further displayed tough talk in an interview airing on Good Morning America Tuesday, ABC News' Chris Cuomo asked Clinton what she would do if Iran attacked Israel with nuclear weapons.

"I want the Iranians to know that if I'm the president we will attack Iran," Clinton said. "In the next ten years, during which they might foolishly consider launching an attack on Israel, we would be able to totally obliterate them."

Watch the full interview with Sen. Hillary Clinton on GMA Tuesday.

Obama for his part has to be worried about obliterating his repeated promise of a "new kind of politics." But he told ABC News' Robin Roberts on Good Morning America his attacks are necessary.

"You've always got to measure if somebody throws an elbow at you and after three or four times of gettin' elbows in the ribs, you know, at what point do you sort of say okay, you know, we -- we, we've gotta put a stop to that?" Obama said.

14. "Obliterate Them" is not correct, is taken out of context,
and creates the impression that Hillary condones destroying Iran today.

Correct:

"In the next ten years, during which they might foolishly consider launching an attack on Israel, we would be able to totally obliterate them."

I'm really getting tired of this shit. Back to GDP, please. :eyes:

And 'We Would Be Able To Totally Obliterate Them?'

No shit.

On edit: Iran doesn't have nukes and won't have nukes unless our military corporations want them to. It's a bullshit premise.

From the last debate:

Obama, Clinton pledge to defend Israel against Iran

"Obama earlier pledged to Jewish voters here that he would do his utmost to help Israel fend off any regional threat, as he criticized ex-president Jimmy Carter for seeking to meet with Hamas leaders.

At the debate, he said: "An (Iranian) attack on Israel is an attack on our strongest ally in the region, one whose security we consider paramount.

"That would be an act of aggression that I would consider unacceptable and the United States would take appropriate action."

Clinton, whose New York senate seat represents a high proportion of Jewish voters, was more categorical.

"And we will let the Iranians know that, yes, an attack on Israel would trigger massive retaliation," she said.

Singing "Bomb, Bomb, Bomb, Bomb, Bomb Iran" Insane McCain and Hillary need to be defeated. Come on Pennsylvania the ball is in your court. Save the Planet Now! Israel has their own Nukes and we don't need to get involved. Not that I want to see this happen.

15. What kind of stupid question is that anyways?
Like it's some sort of paranormal phenomenon that happens from the pure blue yonder. Might as well ask, "what would you do if extraterrestrials landed in Algeria?" Or "what would you do if you wake up one morning and you realize it's ten years later?"
That kind of stupid setup questions should be flung back to the face of the "journalist". World peace is not a video game.

17. I would assume that Israel would put its nukes in the air one way or another
if its radar or ours detected a missile launch with the things headed toward Israel.

I think that Israel wouldn't hesitate to retalilate in the 15 minutes it would have.

But I do not think Israel will need us to retaliate for them, since they have at least 4 nuclear warheads of their own.

21. This is what makes me wonder:
China has owned a lot of the U.S. debt and benefits from a relationship with China. The U.S. makes unprovoked threats to Iran. Now the U.S. is faced with a sudden worsening in the economy.
