Zimbabwe court rejects opposition demand

HARARE, Zimbabwe - A Zimbabwean opposition lawyer says a court has rejected a demand for the immediate release of results from last month's presidential election.

Lawyer Andrew Makoni says the High Court issued a ruling Monday dismissing the opposition petition for the results.

The electoral commission has said it was still verifying the votes.

Independent tallies indicate longtime President Robert Mugabe lost the election, but garnered enough votes to force a runoff.

2. I don't think he's planning an escape.

I think he's planning on staying exactly where he is. He and his allies seem to be well on their way to stealing/nullifying another election. And there isn't much anyone in the world can do about it either unfortunately.

The courts are all stacked with Mugabe loyalists. I'm really not surprised by this.
