1. Let's see, that brings their centrifuge number to approximately 10,000.
Still a hell of a long time, 7-10 years, before they could think about having enough bomb making material. Once again, it looks as though all they're doing is becoming more self sufficient when it comes to reactor grade fuel.

2. Iran is not going to attack anybody
They know they would be flattened by Israel and the U.S. I believe the last war Iran got into was defending itself from Saddam who was using Raygun's/Rummy's weapons that we gave him. They sure haven't had as many as the U.S.

Dumbya's planned Iran attack needs to stopped. It's only purpose is to try and salvage AWOL-boy's miserable legacy of failure.

U.S., Britain criticize Iran's announcement on centrifuges

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) - The U.S. says today's announcement by Iran is another example of its continued defiance of international demands. Iran says it is expanding uranium enrichment -- installing 6,000 new centrifuges at its facility in Natanz.

Gregory Schulte, the U.S. representative to the International Atomic Energy, says the move reflects Iran's "refusal to address international concerns" and to adhere to demands that it end its nuclear program. Schulte says that approach has resulted in "increasing censure and sanction."

He says negotiation, not escalation, would be the best approach to the issue.

Britain is also criticizing Iran's announcement. A spokesman for the Foreign Office says Iran is making "no effort to restore international confidence in its intentions."

4. Ironic timing no? In light of Petreus giving testimony today, where he's sure to point fingers
at Iran waging a proxy war in Iraq.

6. Iran begins installing more centrifuges
Source: AP

TEHRAN, Iran - Iran has begun installing 6,000 new centrifuges at its uranium enrichment plant in Natanz, state television quoted President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as saying Tuesday.

The U.S. immediately criticized the announcement as an example of Iran's continued defiance of international demands that it suspend uranium enrichment, which can produce fuel for a nuclear reactor or fissile material for a weapon.

"Today's announcement reflects the Iranian leadership's continuing violation of international obligations and refusal to address international concerns," said Gregory Schulte, the U.S. representative to the Vienna-based International Atomic Energy Agency.

Wonderful timing in light of Petreus upcoming testimony in which he's sure to point fingers at Iran for waging a proxy war in Iraq.

8. So in other words,
The worst case scenario is that Iran gets enough material for a nuke within 7-10 years as opposed to 10-12 years. Big whoop. The point being that by using centrifuges to enrich uranium, Iran is much more likely to be producing reactor grade material as opposed to weapons grade material.

But the war mongers will jump on this as evidence of Iran's hostile intentions, despite the report from the NIE, despite the fact that to any knowledgeable person it is evident that Iran is enriching uranium for fuel purposes as opposed to weapons purposes. The warmongers will point and scream, the media will shoot this around their echo chamber, and the American sheeple will buy the bullshit, and away we'll go. Pathetic.

9. Good for them
Iran has just as much right to nuclear power as any other country. And there is absolutely NO proof whatsoever that they are trying to build nuclear weapons. All we have is "which can produce fuel for a nuclear reactor OR fissile material for a weapon."

And even IF Iran were trying to build nukes, isn't it somewhat hypocritical to try and force them to stop, while looking the other way at Israel and its nuclear arsenal?

12. In fact, Iran has the "INALIENABLE RIGHT" to nuclear power, as the NPPT states.
Iran isn't breaking the NPPT.

America has & is.

But it's ok when we do it!

It's the lies & hypocrisy, stupid!

10. Centrifuges?
Didn't we go "around" this before regarding Iraq? It was about "tubes"?

Take nuclear weapons out of Israel if you expect them gone from Arab countries. And we should do it too.

Frankly...they are lies. If we bomb Iran we are going to encourage a world war. Oh...ya..that's what you want General BetrayUs!!

Resign.
