1. Md. polls to remain open until 9:30 p.m.

Polling hours in Maryland have been extended until 9:30 p.m. due to inclement weather conditions, a state official announced in a news release.

Polls across the state had been scheduled to close at 8 p.m. The Anne Arundel County Circuit Court ordered that precincts statewide stay open en extra 90 minutes.

All voters in extended hours must vote by provisional ballot.

Rushing is the mistake we let the corporate media and GOP get away with in 2000 -- Gore had better hurry and concede because the American people want resolution!

Let it take as long as necessary to be fair.

5. Judge wouldn't have extended for 90 minutes if the polling places were empty
Which means that people care enough to come out in such bad weather (news reports also talk about bad traffic backups) to vote.

8. Lots of Accidents on the Beltway
starting this afternoon. Treacherous walking and driving everywhere on top of some of the worst traffic in the country. People will be getting home later than usual so it's a good thing they're keeping the polls open for those folks.
