Local NBC affliate, channel 6, out of Davenport, Iowa, is airing a report and a video of hotel rooms trashed by workers of the Clinton campaign. The video highlighted piles of trash, holes in the walls and soiled and tore carpeting. The elderly, avuncular, hotel manager is quoted on the video as saying if this is the way a campaign is managed how well would the White House be managed.

The Clinton campaign has offered to pay 75% of the damages and is refusing to talk with local media about the damages. Look for this video to be picked up by national television and for this news to be gleefully broadcast by right-wing hate radio. It will predictably be linked to the baseless and debunked charges of Bill Clinton's White House staffers trashing their offices before the current dimwit took office.

In light of the foodfight that has broken out between our top two candidates, news like this is not helpful to the Democratic ticket in November. I would urge the Clinton campaign to quickly put this to rest. They will not be the only Democrats to suffer from this video clip.

The dirtier it gets, the more chance they will throw these kind of things at each other, the more people will turn to look at whose talking about the issues.

It really is true that most people HATE/are turned off by this crap, and they will not be able to STOP themselves from noticing another candidate who isn't involved with as much mud slinging. Number 1 and Number 2 are foolish. People are scared, and they don't like/trust politicians to begin with. They are forcing another glance at number 3 (whom I believe Zogby just said is almost a hairs distance away from No.2 in SC)... gee, I wonder why.

This seems like it doesn't bode well for November, for No. 1 or No.2, that is, but it's boding better for No. 3.
