Poll: McCain Catches Rudy — In New York

A new SurveyUSA poll has some bad news for Rudy Giuliani and his big-state strategy: He's only three points ahead of John McCain in his home state of New York:

Giuliani 32%
McCain 29%
Huckabee 12%
Romney 7%
Thompson 6%

Maybe Rudy should announce he won't be contesting the actual Republican Convention, and will be waiting until later in 2008 to make his move?

1. HRC would have beaten him in 2000 and either HRC or OB or JE would in 2008.
My firm was polling in NYS in 2000.

to make waves when the offerings are insulting. Don't think for a moment that Hillary is a lock here in the primaries.
