O'Neill Denies Charge Over Book Documents
. . .

Asked if he thought the internal Treasury probe was a get-even move by the administration, O'Neill replied, "I don't think so. If I were secretary of the treasury and these circumstances occurred, I would have asked the inspector general to look into it." But O'Neill also said he thinks the questions could have been more readily answered if top Treasury officials had talked to the agency's legal counsel.

. . .

O'Neill also said Tuesday said he did not mean to imply that the administration was wrong to begin contingency planning for a regime change in Iraq but that he was surprised that it was at the top of the agenda at the first Cabinet meeting.

. . .

O'Neill told the "Today" show he was guilty of using some "vivid" language during his hundreds of hours of interviews with Suskind for the book. "If I could take it back, I would take it back," he said of the blind man quote.

Asked if he plans to vote for Bush in November's presidential election, O'Neill said he "probably" would. "I don't see anyone who is better prepared or more capable," he told NBC.

O'Neil is still loyal.

6. So what is the real deal here?
O'Neill is not a slouch. He is not a dummy. What is going on right now? Surely this man knew the potential consequences of his "ratting" on the royalty.

7. "A blind man in a room full of deaf people".
"Disengaged". "Had no questions". But he still thinks Bush is the
best man for the job? Gee, you might begin to wonder if he's been
threatened or something.

8. Stop and think...could he be playing the media like a pro?
He needs to get his evidence out against the Administration and has.

The book gets published printed and reported.

The White House and Repuke party will go after him for any comment that makes him look like "sour grapes." Remember that? His credibility is shot as soon as he says anything negative in a follow-up.

Instead after the news has broken, he makes outrageous statements that neither discount his previous quotes or 19,000 pages of evidence supporting the book. This keeps him in the media longer and gets the evidence talked about more.

Who cares what his vote really is for the next election? I bet it ain't gonna be for his previous boss - it does not matter...let's focus on the evidence that does matter and the evidence that incriminates this Corrupt Administration.
