NEW RICHMOND, Wis. (WCCO) ―

A soldier just home from serving in the war in Iraq is accused of biting off another man's ear.

Prosecutors charged Ramon Aleaga, 21, with one count of mayhem for mutilating the ear of another man on Dec. 30.

According to the criminal complaint, Aleaga, who is from Somerset, Wis., was attending a holiday party for New Richmond High School graduates who had just returned home from the Iraq war. The party was at a home in Clear Lake, Wis.

Aleaga was telling stories about the Iraq War when authorities said Brian Johnson challenged him, saying he was making the stories up.

The two got into a fight, and prosecutors allege Aleaga took Johnson to the ground and bit off a quarter of his ear. Aleaga then spit the piece back at Johnson and began to choke him.
