U.S. Checking al Qaeda Claim of Killing Bhutto
Source: ABC News - The Blotter

December 27, 2007 11:47 AM

Brian Ross, Richard Esposito & R. Schwartz Report:

While al Qaeda is considered by the U.S. to be a likely suspect in the assassination of former Pakistani Prime Minister Banazir Bhutto, U.S. intelligence officials say they cannot confirm an initial claim of responsibility for the attack, supposedly from an al Qaeda leader in Afghanistan.

An obscure Italian Web site said Mustafa Abu al-Yazid, al Qaeda's commander in Afghanistan, told its reporter in a phone call, "We terminated the most precious American asset which vowed to defeat mujahedeen."

It said the decision to assassinate Bhutto was made by al Qaeda's No. 2 leader, Ayman al Zawahri in October. Before joining Osama bin Laden in Afghanistan, Zawahri was imprisoned in Egypt for his role in the assassination of then-Egyptian President Anwar Sadat.

<snip>

"She openly threatened al Qaeda, and she had American support," said ABC News consultant Richard Clarke, the former White House counterterrorism adviser. "If al Qaeda could try to kill Musharraf twice, it could easily do this," he said.

6. So if Bhutto was killed for wanting to get rid of Al Qaeda,Updated at 3:50 AM
what conclusion can we draw from the fact that Musharraf has not been killed?

Is he a friend of Al Qaeda? Is that why they do not kill him?

Four times if I'm remembering correctly. Why does it seem out of the realm of possibility that the US had nothing to do with this and that longstanding internal problems in Pakistan are to blame?

They must be crazy. The CIA probably did it and are blaming Al Qaeda as a convenient scapegoat. Is Faux news already running constant claims of convenience around the news ticker?

18. Al Qaeda does not exist and never has
Al Qaeda does not exist and never has

19.08.2004

The basic truth is that Al Qaeda does not exist and never has. Al Qaeda is a manufactured enemy who was created by the Bush Administration in order to have an excuse to wage a war for the control of the world’s oil resources.

Did an American even hear the words “Al Qaeda” before 9-11? Or were we told that its alleged leader Osama Bin Laden has family who themselves have personal business relationships with George W. Bush’s family and that both families had financially profited considerably from the “War on Terror”?

If “Al Qaeda” was such an organized group terrorists as we are being told then why weren’t we the people notified of this evil threat when the US Cole was bombed a few months before 9-11? “Al Qaeda” is nothing more than a broad euphemistic umbrella classification used to group any Middle Eastern fighter under the Sun as an enemy. The most diabolical aspect of this public relations stunt is that it enables the current Administration to label any group it feels necessary to attack to appear to be related to an unprovable organized enemy while at the same time actually increasing its approval ratings by exploiting the basic primal fears of the American public. Furthermore when one realizes the questionable motivations that this Administration has used previously to attack an enemy, as what is now surfacing about the Iraq War, one begins to get the strange feeling that this Orwellian double-speak is nothing more than a smoke and mirror illusion whose true intentions would of made Goebbels himself jealous.

20. It is a phantom enemy...
It was first heard during the Jan.2001 during the trial of the man suspected in the bombing of the US Embassy in Nigeria. But, the organization it self does not exist, never has. It is the phantom enemy that is used to blame for terror activity.
