Poll: Huckabee Would Lose To Top Democrats By Double Digits
Source: CNN.com

WASHINGTON -- While presidential hopeful Mike Hickabee is surging in new polls of GOP candidates, a CNN/Opinion Research Corp. poll released Tuesday show he would lose to all three leading Democratic candidates by double digits in hypothetical contests.

In head-to-head matchups -- the first to include Huckabee -- the former Arkansas governor loses to Hillary Clinton of New York by 10 percentage points (54 to 44 percent), to Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois by 15 points (55 to 40 percent) and to former Senator John Edwards of North Carolina by 25 points (60 percent to 35 percent).

11. I would agree
Someone on radio did a quiz I think between two states related to NFL asking questions. No one knew Huckabee.

4. I find the poll reassuring but my gut feeling is Huckabee is trouble
I do find it interesting that all of the Dem candidates beat Huckleberry, but Edwards was far and above the best against him.

I don't think the election would be that lop-sided if any of these were the matchups, however.

Huckleberry has a manner about him that is likeable. So did Bush. Huckleberry is not a bright mind. Neither was Bush. The religious nuts will support Huckleberry. They supported Bush. Huckleberry has experience....

Maybe we should give Edwards another look. Since Huck seems likely to be our opponent.

8. You're Damn Right...
...he's trouble. A fistful.

He's their Carter from 1976. He's clean, mean and speaks his mind.

He's also an ordained Baptist minister. That alone would allow him to take the white southern male vote.

7. But...
...he would win every southern state for sure, including Florida.

That's why he's dangerous.

Remember, it's them against the world. We fought a Civil War for a reason.

15. Looks like the Repuke power base is scared that their choices aren't doing well.
Huckabee, as with the other candidates on both sides who are not blessed by the corporate power brokers, are going to be open to this sort of psy-ops like polling bullshit. Huckabee has the Repukes and neocons in a tissy.
