Woman bomber attacks US patrol in Iraq
Source: IOL

Baquba, Iraq - A woman suicide bomber blew herself up as a US foot patrol passed in the city of Baquba, north of Baghdad, on Tuesday, killing one civilian and wounding seven, police said.

US military spokesperson Major Peggy Kageleiry confirmed the attack by a "female" bomber but had no immediate word on any casualties among US troops.

A Baquba police officer said the bomber struck the patrol in the city's central Al-Amin neighbourhood.

Insurgents have stepped up attacks in Baquba in recent weeks despite a joint US-Iraqi offensive against Al-Qaeda fighters in the area.

1. Another cowardly attack
Another desperate attack, just like the Kamikaze's of Japan.

More signs they cannot take us on in a head to head fight.

RLTW!

2. You know nothing of Fourth Generation Warfare, do you? . . .
Before making such a foolish spectacle of yourself, I'd suggest you read up on modern insurgencies and the near-impossibility of fighting them on anything other than their terms.

For that matter, you might reacquaint yourself with the many complaints British soldiers made about the revolutionary colonists back in 1775.

For a general overview of Fourth Generation Warfare, however, you should google Martin van Creveld (there's plenty of works by him on the 'net), or you may wish to find one of his books, specifically The Transformation of War.

I hope you find yourself more enlightened after a short study of a subject you are so painfully ignorant about.

nor did we in kosovo -- nor will we.

we bomb from 3 miles high -- or whatever.

we bomb the holy shit out of everyone and everything.

9. Why is that woman cowardly but your efforts heroic?
Sometimes, you need to sit yourself down and think things out for yourself.

We invaded an innocent nation and surprise, that nation is fighting back.

18. I guess the minutemen from the revolution
I guess the minutemen from the revolution were cowards also since they shot from behind trees and such and then ran away. The enemy fight with the tactics they have not the tactics you want.

11. We attacked a nation that had done nothing to us.
We are responsible for these deaths. Or, BushCo is and we are for allowing this government to behave in this way.

19. Of course we are responsible for everything that happens there
such as people blowing themselves up. As I'm sure you're aware, if they didn't kill themselves, we would just end up killing them anyway from three miles up in our "precision bombing". I'm surprised there are any left. Haven't we already killed like a brazillion of them?

As I'm sure you read in high school, during the revolutionary war, our heroes typically killed themselves and innocent "English apologists" to piss off the British. It was reported in all of the colonial press. Surely you were a member of the FU (Federalist Underground) and read all about it.

20. how many virgins is a woman entitled to ?
Here is another speculation;
Could be, in order to prevent her children from having their heads chopped off,( and after watching her husband's melon roll ) she decided to take on the martyr role.

(speculation but probably true)

These bomb suppliers don't mind targeting kids that beg for candy from the only source out there willing to hand it out to them;

21. And do they stay virgins after you get to heaven?
Is there some sort of perpetual virginity rule, so you can stay virgin no matter how many times you do it or who you do it with? I know it seems odd, but otherwise wouldn't all those virgins cease to be virgins pretty soon after you got there? And heaven would be little better than a brothel then, wouldn't it? I mean, I have to say it sounds like more fun than all the standing around and singing and worshipping and stuff that you get in the other Abrahamic religions, a good selling point, but it still seems really tacky.

22. Female suicide bomber wounds 7 US troops in Iraq
<snip>

"A female suicide bomber wearing an explosives blew herself up in a city north of Baghdad, wounding seven U.S. soldiers and five Iraqi civilians, the U.S. military said on Wednesday.

The attack occurred on Tuesday in Baquba, 65 km (40 miles) from Baghdad and capital of the ethnically and religiously mixed Diyala province.

Suicide bombings carried out by women are very rare in Iraq."

Could have been a scarecrow taped up with explosives in all that fabric.

Think, folks.
