Giuliani: Dems Will Change Minds on Iraq
Source: AP

LONDONDERRY, N.H. (AP) - Republican presidential hopeful Rudy Giuliani said Monday that two of the Democratic candidates will change their minds again about the Iraq war and agree that it was the right decision.
Asked at a town-hall meeting to characterize the mission of U.S. troops in Iraq, Giuliani said they have done an admirable job.

"Do I think the mission overall in Iraq is the correct one, I think without a doubt it is," the former New York mayor said at Insight Technologies, which makes tactical weapon lights and laser systems for the military.

"And I think the Democrats are going to change their minds about it again," Giuliani said, noting that Hillary Rodham Clinton and John Edwards voted as senators for the initial invasion in 2003.

Edwards, who is no longer in the Senate, since has apologized for his vote. Clinton has not apologized, but has said she would not have voted for the measure authorizing use of force if she had known then what she knows now.

"I think they're going to change their minds. I think the verdict of history is going to be that it was the right decision," Giuliani said.

You know as for Clinton I agree with him, I am sure she will change her tune if the political winds swing in that direction.

Edwards, Obaman and Kucinish never, Their conviction is lound and clear. The lesson that these men have learned is deep and they would never repeat the mistakes.

2. They didn't "vote for the invasion"
that is a RW and LW spin, and completely dishonest.

6. Spin, Yes..
But my point is that Hillary has spun her position on Iraq too many times to unwind it. She may not have authorized the invasion in fact no one did except Bush and his cabal. However, if i.e., by some miracle Iraq becomes this great Republican wet dream bastion of Freedom and Democracy... blahh I just threw up in my mouth a little bit typing that... Do you believe for a minute that Hillary won't embrace it, in fact nurture it... I guess my point is she is playing politics with Iraq and Edwards, Obama, Kucinich etc are not. Even if it gets better on the ground they still will never support it.

8. Its in everyone's interest to see peace
in Iraq, I don't agree that we will see Democrats start saying, oh yeah that 5 years of fucked up policy was worth it after all. No they will say they are glad that the war and suffering are over. They will all say that. I don't think you read Hillary correctly at all, but you read attack pieces on her just fine.

13. Here's what I do know
She voted yeah on the IWR. She hasn't been vocal enough or done enough as a Senator to really get us out of Iraq and she has morphed her position on Iraq based on polling. She has shown little appetite to challenge Bush's policy more directly and embrace a plan to set a timetable for bringing U.S. forces home. As for leadership She also has not called directly for the impeachment of Bush or holding him accountable even though her husband was witch hunted and persecuted by the same cabal that supports Bush now. Bottom line she is weak and divisive. My vote will always be with Edwards or Obama.

4. What a loon. Even many Repubs feel Iraq was a mistake, even if
they think we shouldn't leave.

5. Psst! Hey, Rudy, over here ...
Just wanted to let you in on a little secret. The majority of the citizenry wants out of Iraq. I really don't see Democratic candidates changing mid-stream from a popular position to one that will lose them votes.

12. I think he's speaking code for world oil depletion.
From his perspective there is no problem. If we need it, we take it. These people don't see a problem with being the world's biggest bully.
