By Nopporn Wong-Anan

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Canadian pedophile suspect Christopher Neil, focus of a global hunt that ended in rural Thailand on Friday, will be charged with molesting underage children after being tracked down through his boyfriend's phone.

Thai police appealed for more victims to come forward after nabbing Neil at a rented house. Neil is also accused of raping young boys in Vietnam and Cambodia after being unmasked by nifty police computer work and hunted in a unique Internet appeal.

"From pictures on the Internet, there were five to seven children under age 10 who have been abused by him, including one girl," Deputy National Police Chief Wongkot Maneerin told a packed news conference in Bangkok.

Neil, 32, caught in the northeast Thai province of Nakhon Ratchasima, 250 km (150 miles) from Bangkok and well off the normal tourist trail, refused to answer reporters' questions.

1. I don't think its 'more of these guys being as fucking stupid' ...
as Interpol being so smart. He posted pictures of himself with his face digitized and Interpol got software to clean it up. Now they'll just crop out their faces altogether.

While I am so glad that this worthless fucking scumbag was found and being brought to justice, it may have been smarter for Interpol not to tip their hand on how they figured out it was him.

2. I don't think Interpol would have "tipped their hand"...
unless this were an anomalous case of idiocy. I'm sure the vast majority of these creeps are already a lot more careful.

But then again, who knows? Aren't these guys busted pretty regularly by using their credit cards?

3. I'm not sure what track methods they use ...
as long as it stops 'em.

5. What? Investigative work, and a public tip line?
Is that any way to find a guy and arrest him? Where's the waterboarding? The warrantless wiretaps? The secret police raids? Oh, now I suppose they'll go through a whole trial and everything for this guy, let him have a lawyer, and have the choice of presenting a defense, so that when he's convicted beyond a reasonable doubt, they can lock him up for a set term of years determined ahead of time.

Is this any way to run a criminal justice system? I ask you? Arrest my case!
