B.C. drug raid not tied to federal Liberals, Martin says - Globe and Mail

Prime Minister Paul Martin said Tuesday that if there is any connection between a police investigation into the B.C. Liberal party and the federal Liberals, he will act quickly to deal with the consequences.

However, he said he is not aware of any connection between the two wings of the party at this time.

"We really don't know what the nature of the investigation is. We have not been contacted by police, so essentially we don't know, really, what it is they're looking for," the Prime Minister said in Wolfville, N.S.

So Martin isn't saying there isn't a connection, just that he's unaware of it. They'd be pretty stupid to alert Martin to their drug deals, wouldn't they? His response is a non-sequitur. We'll have to wait for the police to release more info.

Hmm. He's in Wolfville. Brison's seat. Hmm. I guess that means that a) the election will be very soon and b) Brison needs shoring up.
