1. you know what tthey cant block. NO FUNDING.
the majority in congress has absolute control over the money. no threat of fillibuster can make them put another dime into this war.
the house could even stop it by themselves if they had the spine.

2. If life were fair...
...the headline would read, "Senate Republicans have blocked legislation that would have ordered U.S. combat troops home from Iraq in nine months". Certainly, if the tables were turned, we'd see something like this from CNN, "Democrats block No Child Left Behind, children suffer everywhere". Don't you just love the librul' press?

7. Correction: Republican MINORITY Blocks Vote to End Iraq War
The majority proposal to withdraw US combat troops in nine months would likely save thousands of American and Iraqi lives and billions of dollars.

When asked to explain why minority Republicans would not allow an "up or down vote," confidential sources replied, "We find it advantageous to play politics with soldiers' lives and taxpayers' dollars. It energizes our right-wing base, and enhances our campaign fund raising with corporate donors, especially those to which we have outsourced so much of the war effort. It's kind of like a two-fer for us; pretty hard to pass up."

Emperor Bush commended Party loyalists, and stated that he thought that opposing his policies was the same as "providing aid and comfort to our enemies." He also praised the Iraqi government for going back on their previous commitment to expel US security contractor Blackwater, saying, "I am glad the Iraqi leaders have come to realize that their security is intertwined with American interests in the region."

"their security is interwined with American interests in the region" what a cold and brutal response. Sounds like you will fall down and worship us neo cons.
