Roadside bomb kills 1 U.S. soldier, wounds 4 in Baghdad

Published: August 8, 2007

BAGHDAD: A roadside bomb killed one U.S. soldier and
wounded four others during fighting in Baghdad, the
military said Wednesday.

The Multi-National Division — Baghdad soldier was killed
and four others wounded Tuesday during combat
operation in a western section of the capital, according
to a statement.

Identities were not released pending notification of
relatives.

The death raised to at least 3,680 members of the U.S.
military who have died since the Iraq war started in March
2003, according to an Associated Press count.

1. the surge was SUPPOSED to bring stability to baghdad.
i gues that's gone the way of the weapons of mass destruction.

all greater peace in anbar proves -- is that the iraqi people are not and never have been married to al queada.

2. Apparently, there are still some Iraqis left in Iraq.
The surge will have succeeded when that is no longer the case.

I haven't mentioned how much I despise bush and co.in quite a while, as I constantly repeat my self, but I think I'll mentioned it again here just because.

7. What can one say any more.
It's all the same, all the time. There have been no strategic changes in the longest time in either direction. All that can be said is that when it does change, it will be for the worse as far as the US is concerned. This is simply not "winnable" other than through genocide.
