Hayworth paying legal fees for fed investigation
Source: Accentral

"Former Republican Congressman J.D. Hayworth is confirming for 12 News that he is cooperating with a federal investigation involving former lobbyist Jack Abramoff.

Hayworth's new campaign finance report shows almost $170,000 in payments to a Washington law firm since his defeat last November by Democrat Harry Mitchell. Hayworth says the bills are connected to a Department of Justice request for 12 years worth of documents covering his legislative work with the Congressional Native American Caucus."

4. I despise that freaky looking alabama hot pocket. I would, however, take him back
if I could get rid of Kyl. That jerk's lockstep bush stroking puts him firmly in the aiding and abetting category when bush stands trial. I know Hayworth is just as bad, but Kyl is in a position of greater power.

9. *ahem* May I remind you that Hayworth was MY representative?
Maybe YOU can have him back, but I sure as hell don't!

:spank:

:D

Don't worry about Kyl, his goose is cooked with the base for supporting the "Amnesty" immigration bill. He's not bigoted enough for the base. They've abandoned him for good, I think. The next election, the Republicans will put up someone more to their taste, probably a Klan Wizard, and the Dem opponent will win in a landslide. Unfortunately, that's a ways off since Kyl just won reelection. *sigh*

13. He's got a look all his own, doesn't he? Bless his bully heart.

There aren't too many, one would hope, who would find this, whatever it is, attractive.

6. He was once described here as "gelatinous"
I always thought it fit. "Leaving a trail of slime wherever he goes..." as Milo Bloom would put it.

Former congressman Hayworth says he is cooperating with federal probe
By CHRIS KAHN
Tucson, Arizona | Published: 07.17.2007
advertisementPHOENIX - Former Republican congressman J.D. Hayworth said Monday that he has sent documents to the Justice Department in response to its investigation of disgraced fundraiser Jack Abramoff.

Hayworth spoke about the Justice Department request during an extended rant against Arizona Republicans, journalists and others whom he blames for helping oust him from office last year.

"I have nothing to hide. I've done nothing illegal or unethical," Hayworth said on his afternoon show on Phoenix radio station KFYI.

Hayworth wouldn't talk to The Associated Press Monday. He didn't say what kind of documents he'd provided, according to audio clips from his radio show.
