AP: Iraqi Spiritual Leaders Form Committee

TIKRIT, Iraq - Influential spiritual leaders from Saddam Hussein (news - web sites)'s hometown — a bastion of anti-American sentiment — are joining forces to persuade Iraqis to abandon the violent insurgency, one of the leaders said Monday.
