Update - June 26, 2007, 11:00 a.m. - The Central Intelligence Agency has promised to deliver the long-secret "family jewels" report, detailing 25 years of Agency misdeeds, to the Archive within the hour. The complete report, as released by CIA, will be posted here as soon as we can scan it.

In the meantime, the Archive has posted the original memorandum, signed by then-CIA director James R. Schlesinger, ordering the "family jewels" study and calling on CIA employees to report to him any activities "which might be construed to be outside the legislative charter of this Agency."

5. I'm just going though the pdf file and it looks like big sections have been "redacted"...

...big surprise. NOT!

Looks like they "redacted" every name of CIA people who are still alive.

I did several searches, no Bush (at least no the Bush's we are looking for), No Dallas (other than what's in the Jack Anderson Column form the Washington Post), plenty of hits for Robert Kennedy doing bad things though.

Surprised? I'm not.

Most of these documents are too heavily redacted to get excited over. They suck.:grr:

2. Just wondering - did they only PLOT to kill people? No mention of any ACTUAL assassinations...

Seems the REAL "family jewels" are still being hidden...
