CAIRO, Egypt - An Islamic militant Web site said Monday it would soon release video clips showing the capture of three American soldiers who disappeared following an ambush in Iraq in mid-May. The body of one soldier was later found, but the other two remain missing.

The video shows the kidnapping as well as footage from after the attack, according to the Washington-based SITE Institute, which said it had obtained the 10-minute, 41-second clip.

The institute, which monitors militant Web sites, said the video also shows the identification cards of the two of the soldiers. A prominent Islamic Web site said in a banner headline it would soon show the video, but it was not yet posted.

The three U.S. soldiers were captured west of Baghdad on May 12 in an ambush later claimed by an insurgent umbrella group, the Islamic State of Iraq, that includes al-Qaida in Iraq.

(CNN) -- The Islamic State of Iraq Monday has released video showing what appears to be the military identification cards of two missing American soldiers.

CNN cannot independently verify the video, which was intercepted by terrorism expert Laura Mansfield. There was no indication in the video whether the two soldiers are dead or alive.

Islamic State of Iraq is a Sunni insurgent group that includes al Qaeda in Iraq.

The video included a still image of the photo identifications of Spc. Alex R. Jimenez (prono: HE-men-ez), 25, of Lawrence, Mass., and Pvt. Byron W. Fouty (prono: FOW-tee), 19, of Waterford, Mich.

Above the photos, written in Arabic, was the message, "Bush is the reason for the loss of your prisoners."

The images appear to be authentic U.S. military identification cards, a military official told CNN's Barbara Starr in Washington.

2. Military has known about the video since atleast Saturday

A family friend of Fouty said the military briefed the soldier's father, Mick Fouty, about the video on Saturday night.

"From what I hear, it shows the soldier's uniforms and dog tags and warns the U.S. to back off on the search," said Cathy Conger. Fouty lived with her family in the Detroit suburb of Commerce Township for 14 months before he left for Iraq.

"What it does not show one way or another is if they're alive or not," Conger said. "I just feel really bad about it. I hope that he's still alive. My prayers are with him."

The three are from the 10th Mountain Division based out of Fort Drum, New York.

You guys, my family is unanimous on this one: losing our loved one over there was horrible beyond belief, but having a soldier missing like this is so far beyond what we have suffered, we cannot imagine their pain.

"The Americans sent 4,000 soldiers looking for them," said an unidentified voice on the video, which was made available to The Associated Press by the Washington-based SITE, which monitors terrorist groups. "They were alive and then dead."

The video offered no proof for its claims that the soldiers had been killed and buried. The voiceover blamed their deaths on "the American Army and their leaders, who do not care for the feelings of the soldiers' families."

9. Why is it always Al-Qaida?

I read in another article that it was a Sunni insurgent group. I know the outcome will be horrible for these guys, but I do grow tired of them not telling us that it was IRAQI Sunni insurgents that did this. The one soldier is from right near my home in Michigan. We have been praying for them to return safely.
