Obama attacks Bush in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Calling for an end to the war, democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama spoke in Kansas City Saturday afternoon. In his first campaign visit here, Obama spoke to a crowd of more than 1,500 people at the Downtown Marriott, hitting hard on the war, health insurance and the president.


"The day that this president steps down, the entire world will breath a sigh of relief," said attacking President Bush.

And if Congress rose up and Impeached, Convicted, Imprisoned and Purged the BushCo regime, the world would cheer! Not to mention the USA would have some respect among nations and people again.

1. He's got that right.
Interesting choice of words. . ."steps down" suggests resignation to me but that has been my fervent though possibly delusional wish for a very long time.

2. I saw Obama on ABC's "This Week with George Stephanopolous"
yesterday. Steph was his usual pathetic self, but Obama struck me as really strong, esp. his calls for a class-based affirmative action. (That's been a pet issue of mine since the days of Reagan, as traditional race-based affirmative action programs tend to benefit disproportinately members of the middle- and upper classes.)
