'Violated' by ho 'humor,' say 3 cops
Source: NY Daily News

Three female cops who allege their supervisor referred to them as "ho's" said yesterday they felt "violated and humiliated."

Bonita Zelman, an attorney for the three officers from the 70th Precinct - Tronnette Jackson, Maria Gomez and Karen Nelson - said a federal discrimination complaint has been filed against the NYPD "for racist and sexist discrimination."

"The Imus virus has infected the New York City Police Department," Zelman said at a news conference outside Police Headquarters held by the NYPD Guardians Association, a fraternal organization representing African-American police officers.

The three claim Sgt. Carlos Mateo called them "ho's" just before 7 a.m. roll call on April 15, Zelman said.

When the three refused to stand in formation with the other 14 officers, Police Officer Ralph Montenez added, "No sergeant, not just ho's, but nappy-headed ho's," copying Don Imus' racist on-air comment about Rutgers University's women's basketball team earlier this month, Zelman said.

2. Once a while ago a Ms. Parks refused to move herself from a given bus seat.
In this meeting, three more women have refused to accept the racist, sexist slur conferred upon them by a police sargeant.

The sargeant has a bit of explaining to do, and I have a hunch these three women's attorneys are gathering a very strong case.

3. It's nice that he's outed himself as an ignorant fool.
Makes them easier to identify and get rid of.

How exactly does "sensitivity training" begin to work with someone like this, who thinks his comment was perfectly allowable in a workplace?
